Hello, this is Kubota.
Today I’d like to introduce a partial perm and haircut designed to enhance natural curls.
Every person’s wavy or curly hair has its own unique character.
Instead of forcing the entire hair to be uniform, adding movement only where it’s needed creates a more natural and balanced look.
For this style, I applied a perm only to selected areas, enhancing the client’s natural texture and adjusting the overall balance.
The client’s hair had waves from the roots to the mid-lengths, with slightly frizzy ends.
If we permed the whole head, it would have become too voluminous.
So, I wrapped rods only on specific sections to control rhythm and flow.
By adding a partial perm, the natural curl connects smoothly, creating soft waves that appear even when simply air-dried.
The impression of a perm changes greatly depending on the solution strength, rod size, and placement.
Where we apply the perm depends on both the hairstyle and the client’s curl pattern.
It’s important to design the cut, perm, and natural curls in harmony.
I always analyze each client’s hair condition carefully and design the process to minimize damage.
The goal is not to overprocess the hair, but to enhance the beauty of the natural texture.
After styling, the result was soft, defined bundles with natural volume.
Even without an iron, the hair can be styled easily with just hand-drying.
It also resists frizz on humid days, making morning styling much quicker.
More people are now discovering the joy of embracing their natural curls instead of fighting them.
